40% Hydrazide·Etoxazole Suspension Concentrate, registered for citrus red spider mite,4600-5400 times dilution, spray.

This dilution ratio represents an extremely high dilution factor for pesticides. Based on 30 jin of water (15 kg), a 4600-fold dilution requires only about 3.3 g of pesticide, while a 5400-fold dilution requires about 2.8 g.

Why is it so low?Because of its unique mechanism of action, and the two components have a synergistic effect when combined in formulation.

1. Inhibit molting: does not kill adults, but prevents mites from maturing.

Product performance:

Its mechanism of action isInhibit the molting process of mites. Thus, affecting the mites fromDifferent stages from egg and larva to pupaAll exhibit excellent contact toxicity.

This sentence gets to the crux: it acts onDevelopmental process of mites...rather than directly poisoning the adult insects.

Division of roles between the two components(Bifenazate 30% + Etoxazole 10%):

EtoxazoleInhibits the embryonic formation of mite eggs and the molting of larvae and nymphs. It is highly effective against eggs and young nymphs, but ineffective against adult mites (however, it can prevent eggs laid by female adults from hatching).

BifenazateActs on the nervous system of mites (specifically targeting mitochondrial electron transport complex I), and is effective against all active stages (larvae, nymphs, and adults), but has weak efficacy against eggs.

The Value of Combinations请提供需要翻译的中文段落。Full coverage of eggs and all active stages.A single acaricide is typically effective only against a specific developmental stage (e.g., pyridaben primarily targets adult mites, while spirodiclofen mainly targets eggs); combining them allows a single application to cover the entire generation.

II. Why is the concentration so low?

First, both components are highly active compounds. The effective dosages per unit area of etoxazole and bifenazate are both very low (on the order of grams per hectare).

Second, synergistic effect. The two components have complementary mechanisms of action, and the total toxicity after mixing is higher than the simple additive effect of their individual applications.

Third, citrus leaves have good pesticide retention.Citrus leaves are thick with a waxy but smooth surface, allowing spray droplets to spread evenly, so effective coverage can be achieved even at low concentrations.

Fourth, mites are small in body size and have a relatively large contact surface area. The pesticide deposition per unit body weight is high.

III. Usage in the range of 4600–5400 times.

4600-fold (higher concentration)When red spider mite infestation is severe and the pest population density is high.

5400-fold (lower concentration)For preventive use when the pest population density is low.

Note: The greatest risk of high-ratio dilution is compounding error.

4,600 times and 5,400 times, with a difference of approximately 0.5 g of pesticide in 15 kg of water. It is simply impossible to measure accurately with crude measuring tools (such as a bottle cap).

An accurate electronic scale or graduated cylinder must be used. This is a special requirement for high-dilution products — a misremembered ratio means a concentration difference of several times.

IV. Difficulties in the Control of Citrus Red Mite

The red spider mite (citrus red mite, Panonychus citri) is one of the most difficult pests to control on citrus for three reasons:

Overlapping generations.Eggs, larvae, nymphs, and adults coexist simultaneously. A single-stage acaricide will always leave some stages uncontrolled.

Resistance develops extremely rapidly.Red spider mites reproduce rapidly (with multiple generations per year) and lay large numbers of eggs, and their rate of resistance evolution ranks among the highest of agricultural pests.

Natural enemies are easily killed. When broad-spectrum insecticides kill predatory mites, spider mite populations instead break out (the phenomenon of "the more you spray, the more they multiply").

The advantage of this formulation combination precisely addresses the first challenge.Full coverage of both eggs and active stages; a single application can suppress the entire generation.

V. Resistance Management and Rotation

Precautions: It is recommended to rotate with insecticides having different modes of action to delay the development of resistance.

The rotation of acaricides must be classified by mode of action.请提供需要翻译的中文段落。

Mechanism category | Representative varieties

Mitochondrial electron transport inhibitors | Bifenazate, Pyridaben (Complex I), Acequinocyl

Molting inhibitors | Etoxazole, Clofentezine

Plant growth regulators | Spirodiclofen, Spirotetramat

Neurotoxins | Abamectin, Spinetoram

Respiratory inhibitors | Cyflumetofen, Cyenopyrafen

Key pointsAlthough spirodiclofen and etoxazole both act as growth inhibitors, they target different developmental stages (spirodiclofen primarily inhibits eggs, while etoxazole inhibits both eggs and molting). Therefore, they can be used alternately but do not constitute a complete rotation.

6. Risks to birds, fish, and silkworms

Please note:

This product is effective againstToxic to birds, fish and other aquatic organisms.During application, stay away from aquaculture areas, ponds, and other water bodies. It is prohibited to clean application equipment in ponds and other water bodies.Do not use near bird sanctuaries. Do not use near silkworm rearing rooms or mulberry fields.

Birds and water bodies are often present around citrus orchards, and the following three points require attention.

VII. Key Technical Points for Pesticide Application

The citrus red mite feeds on the underside of leaves.Spraying must thoroughly cover the undersides of leaves. This is the key to successful control and is more important than concentration.

Sufficient water volume is required.Citrus trees have large canopies, and the water volume per mu is typically 60–100 kg (depending on tree size).

Key plant partsInner canopy leaf undersides and the lower part of the tree crown.

Application timingThe control of spider mites emphasizes "early treatment and low-density treatment" — intervening when the pest population density is low to avoid frequent pesticide applications after an outbreak.

VIII. Usage of Suspension Concentrates

Shake well before use.(Suspension concentrate settles and forms layers upon standing.)

Secondary dilutionFirst, dilute the concentrate into a stock solution in a small container (especially important for high-fold dilutions), then pour it into the sprayer and add water to the required volume.
